Very full day in Bwambo! Morning starts with bush babies waking us at
6am, then daily mass, boiling milk, chai, hospital rounds, then cleaning
laundry in buckets to dry in fresh mountain air. Kids helped parish Priest chop down banana
trees to thin crop, Charlie (12) killed chicken for dinner, which became chicken
pot pie in wood stove for diner. Adoration hour for nine-year-old patient who
is dying of poisoning of local herb medicine.
Rosie (4) and Mary (10) sick with stomach flu. No water in village now, making it hard on mama. Simple life and home made creations make life
bearable here. Thank you for prayers from
all friends and family. Much needed!

Safari Njema! (Safe Journey)
June 10, 2012
We are off to Tanzania on Tuesday to work again at the Bwambo Health Center and Parish in the South Pare Mountains. Thank you all for your prayers, donations, and loving support. And, many thanks to the Mission Doctors Association and Elise Fredrick for making this all possible.
The kids are so excited to be back with friends in Tanzania. Francis said yesterday while packing, "I am so excited, I feel like crying"! Yes, we are truly grateful for this opportunity once again to serve our Lord through the people of Tanzania. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel from Dar es Saalam on Thursday on a very rough road, (a ten hour trip). Please feel free to write or comment in this journal. It is so comforting to get a note from friends and family while we are away.
Blessings and many thanks
